Jugando con la Panzerkompanie/Playing Panzerkompanie (I)

Hola!

The diagram.

Combat2- 3 Panzer IVJ
Combat3- Pelotón de 5 placas con un Faust (Todo Faust en 1700).

A view of the developing attack.
His artillery is neutralised, so can bunch.

Attacking phases!

Hi!

Welcome to Sennelager training grounds! Today I'm talking about Panzer Tactics, the first step is to build a list. In my case I have an historic one 'Attack on Stoumont' for PanzerKampfgruppe Peiper (Devil's Charge book).

The spitze has crossed the Meuse! Panzer Voran!

When begun to build the list I went against meta and chose Panther as my main tank. I will invest as many points in them as I think its advisable and build my tactics around them, instead of trying to make a list with every kind of unit (artillery, recon...).

HQ- 2 Panther
Combat1- 5 Panther

I will kampfgruppe them so I have 2 three-strong Panther platoons with the CiC to join any of them to increase firepower.

So we have the core of the force, now I'm including some 'recon'. Being Panthers my main force I can't have recon with Armoured Cars because them don't make the enemies spring the AT ambushes, I need some 'heavy recon' in the form of Panzers. 3 PzIV will do the work! I add a Pzgrenadier Platoon (short, 5 teams) to help in ambush-avoiding work and to protect the tanks in heavy scenery environment.

Combat2- 3 PzIV
Combat3- 5 teams Pzgrenadier Platoon (1 faust at 1750, Full faust at 1700)

Well, to reach 1700-1750 I need some units to add. The first choice for me are Stummels. They add some serious firepower with their KWK36 75/24 guns and being halftracks they usually aren't taken on too much count until they begin to blow up things. Also if the enemy fires their AT on them that fire it's not raining on my Panthers or PzIVs. So 4 of them to the force!
To finish it I want some volume of fire, so I add 2 Wirbelwinds to have lots of shots when firing AAA or stationary. I prefer them over Ostiwnd being cheaper and for their ROF6 main gun.

The mission of each platoon is clear, the way to play also. We will win through cannonade! We will fire on the enemy and launch assaults when he is decimated. If he is overextended (not many zookas on sight) we can try an early assault on them. But I prefer to go for support against infantry, killing its artillery support and armor as well, rendering them defenceless.
